MarinTrust provided training to assessors in Vietnam on the MarinTrust Improver Programme (MT IP) application procedures and the MarinTrust Fishery Assessment process in relation to FIPs.
The Gulf of Thailand mixed-trawl Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) fishery has been accepted onto the MarinTrust Improver Programme (IP). It is the first FIP accepted onto the IP as part of the multispecies pilot project and is led by the Thailand Sustainable Fisheries Roundtable (TSFR).
MarinTrust organised a workshop to discuss the revised version of the multispecies pilot assessment criteria based on learnings from the Gulf of Thailand Mixed-trawl Fishery and feedback from the peer review process.

IFFO RS is delighted to announce that the Indian Oil Sardine (Goa and Maharashtra) and the Mauritanian small pelagics Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) have successfully met the criteria for acceptance on to the IFFO RS Improver Programme (IFFO RS IP).
In order to demonstrate continued improvement of IFFO RS accepted FIPs, new applicants have to provide evidence of actions completed after 6-months following final acceptance onto the IFFO RS Improver Programme. This is to ensure appropriate actions have been completed or are in progress.
