Evaluadores aprobados del IP

The following assessors are recommended by MarinTrust* and have received training on the MarinTrust Improvement Programme application process and the Fisheries Improvement Project (FIP) fishery assessment. Therefore, they can assist applicants with the initial stages of preparing their MarinTrust IP application, as well as with follow-up assessments throughout the FIP timeline.

The IP assessment must be carried out in accordance with the MarinTrust IP application mechanism (located here ) and must include the following:

An overview of the fisheries management framework with a structured plan that mainly includes the management of organizations, their functions and responsibilities;
A review of data availability in the various categories to be included;
A determination of the overall scope of the complete assessment;
A description of the potential obstacles or problems that may be barriers to approval within a reasonable agreed time period;
Identification of organizations and entities that will be important for participation in the event of a full evaluation.

After applying to the MarinTrust IP, an accredited certification body will conduct a peer review of the application to ensure a robust and credible application process.
